ARE YOU EXPERIENCING ROAD BLOCKS AND A LACK OF FLOW? THIS COULD BE WHY.

For those of you who read my blog regularly you would have noticed that for the past few months I have been banging on about the elusive new website, e book and brand that I am apparently launching. Yes, I have been talking about it for a while and I am well aware that you are yet to see much evidence of it.

But, that is all about to change!

I am excited to share that my new website is currently in the throws of being built. Yipee! And I have spent most of today writing the content for it. Double yipee!

And not only will you be graced with a sparkling new website, but there is a super delicious and absolutely FREE e book waiting for you too! Woo hoo.

Yes, it is all finally happening and I am beyond thrilled.

So, in my next post I will be making 2 new announcements!

1) I will be giving you all the details about my free e book and how you can get your hands on it

2) I will be sharing with you the name of my new website and also when you can expect to it see it live

But before that, I thought I would share with you why it has taken so damn long.

ROAD BLOCKS AND LACK OF FLOW

Have you ever had an outcome in mind of something you want and you have tried to get it happening, taken every action under the sun and thrown everything you have at it, yet it still does not seem to be progressing?

Or

Have you ever had a delicious creative idea bubble forth in your mind, and so you rush eagerly to your notepad or computer to start creating it, yet no matter how hard you try you cannot seem to get it to look like the image in your mind?

Or

Have you ever experienced road blocks, dead ends, shut downs, doors being slammed in your face, rejections and no matter how hard you try nothing seems to work?

Well, in the process of creating my new website I experienced all of that
and more!

And it took several Universal hits over the head before I finally got the message. I am a Taurean so I will admit I have a tendency to be strong minded, stubborn and at times a bit inflexible. So, yes in this case it took me a little while to pick up on what the Universe was putting down.

But one day, I had a light-bulb moment.

I realised was trying so hard to make things to 'my way', go according to 'my plan', and look the way 'I wanted' it to, that I completely lost sight of the fact that my inner guidance was calling me in a completely different direction.

And so, late last year I decided enough was enough. I simply decided to stop.

I stopped trying. I stopped forcing. I stopped trying to figure it all out. I stopped pushing.

I paused the design process. I stopped contacting web designers. I stopped trying to squeeze out creative ideas. And I stopped looking to other websites for inspiration. In fact, I stopped focusing on the development of my website altogether.

WHEN YOU LET GO, THINGS START TO FLOW

So, for most of December I simply let go. I surrendered.

I realised my way was not working and I became willing to see another way. I decided to turn my attention inwards. To listen. To find my inspiration inside of me. To hear my inner guidance. To tune in to the divine plan.

While nothing dramatic happened initially, the one thing I did notice was that I began to feel better. And one of the key aspects to getting in to flow, is to release whatever is blocking you from feeling good.

And so, that is what I did. I let go and I felt good. And then in the final week of December something magical happened. Everything suddenly began to move again.

Ideas came together. Inspiration bubbled forth. Clarity rose to the surface. Action's produced brilliant results. Cooperative relationships evolved. Things started flowing. I started making progress. Effortlessly and joyfully.

And as a result, a deliciously beautiful website, and oh-so-juicy ebook is on it's way to you. And all of it has been created with total and utter flow.

5 STEPS TO GET BACK IN FLOW

So, if you are experiencing any aspects of what I mentioned above, here is your 5 step prescription for getting back in the flow.

1. Stop doing.

2. Sit down.

3. Be quiet.

4. Let go.

5. Listen.

And that is all.

It really is so simple. And the minute you start doing this, I promise you that everything will begin to flow again.

Can you relate to my story? If so, I would love for you to leave a comment below

+ Do you sometimes try to force things go your way?
+ And when you do, how do you get yourself back in flow?

JANUARY 2013: THE MONTH OF NEW BEGINNINGS

Hello 2013!

I love the freshness of a new year. I know January 1st really is just another day, but to me it always feels so sparkly and clean. Like that first page of bare white paper in a new journal. It is a blank canvas ready and waiting for creation.

New years are always phenomenal opportunities for new beginnings. But is it just me, or does 2013 feel even more so? Everywhere I look I see beautiful sparkly little souls stepping up to shine their light. New websites. New projects. New ideas. New ventures. I freakin' love it.

I am seeing it in my clients too. I have lost count of how many of my current mind-blowingly amazing clients are either leaving jobs, starting business, launching blogs, starting new training courses, creating new health regimes and totally and utterly carving out brand new lives for themselves in 2013. I am like a proud little mumma hen when I see my gorgeous clients taking these huge steps, and I tell you what it is incredibly inspiring.

2013 is definitely a brand new squeaky clean beginning for me too.

My 2012 was a lot about laying foundations. Shedding what was not authentically me. Stepping in to my power. Letting go. Healing. Releasing. Learning. Growing.

Upon reflection, I realised that most of what happened in 2012 was actually all about preparing me for 2013 - The year were everything is going to go to a whole new level.

In order to avoid a chronic case of paralysing overwhelm, I am working at taking this year month by month. Right now my focus is squarely on the beautiful month of January: my month of new beginnings.

JANUARY: THE MONTH OF NEW BEGINNINGS

For me, this month is about launching the new. Launching new ideas, new projects, a new website, a new e book, new coaching programs. Yep, it is all brand new.

I have so much stuff in the pipeline at the moment that it is ridiculous. All of my little projects are being lovingly chipped away at and will soon be coming to fruition. All of the seeds have been planted, and through January you will start to see the evidence of new little seedlings bursting forth.

I wish I could reveal more of it all to you now, but I kind of want to keep it under wraps until it is ready. But please do know that I am working my little heart out behind the scenes pulling together some new beautiful gifts for all of you.

I am however, going to be doing some mini-reveals over the next few weeks, giving you some sneak peeks in to what I am creating. I will be giving you the lo down + deets about;

+ My very first e book
+ My new website (+ the story behind why it has been so many looong months in the making)
+ 3 exciting new coaching programs I am offering
+ What is going to happen to a life of perfect days once my new site is launched (do not worry sweet pea, I have grand plans for this gorgeous little site)

2013 really is going to be one juicy year. In fact, I think it is going to phenomenal.

There is an unbelievably powerful energy in the air right now. Something shifted in that moment that 2012 clicked over to 2013.

When I woke up on the morning of 2013 things were different. I felt different. My energy had shifted. I had this whole new sense of clarity that I had been seeking for months.

I felt renewed. Aligned. Ready.

There is definitely something magical about 2013, so l recommend you harness the power of the universe that surrounds you and make something of it.

Why not make January your month of new beginnings too?

VIDEO BLOG: HOW TO TRANSITION FROM WHERE YOU ARE, TO WHERE YOU WANT TO BE

Welcome to my first ever video blog! The topic for today's blog is transition. And more specifically, how to transition from where you are, to where you want to be.

This clip is quite long (apologies - I love to talk and tend to waffle) but I hope you like it. Please grab yourself a cup of tea, pull up a chair and enjoy.

WHY A VIDEO BLOG?

As I mentioned in my last post, I am currently working to let go of anything in my life which I no longer feel drawn to, inspired by or aligned with. As a result I have been taking a little break from writing on this blog. Not to say that I am totally un-inspired by this blog, but the Universe has been calling me to take a break and create some space.  It is often frightening to let go of one thing when we do not yet have another thing to take it's place. But the lesson here is that we need to make room and feel safe in that empty space for a while before new things can be created.

And boy, have I created space for the new! Today I got a sudden pull of inspiration to create a video blog for you. And I decided to follow that instinct and do it. Even though this felt new, daunting and unfamiliar and I learning to develop a habit of following inner guidance, no matter what. This was totally and utterly out of my comfort zone yet I am committed to taking steps towards my dreams even if they scare me! We learn so much about ourselves when we are willing to try something new and embrace the unknown. Sure it was daunting, but it was pretty damn exciting too.

As this is my first ever video blog there were a few mistakes here and there. But this has been a lesson for me in allowing things be imperfect. I am a chronic perfectionist, so making this video has been a beautiful experience to allow myself to share something that has a few flaws and errors!

What amazing lessons we can learn about ourselves when we are willing to embrace the unknown, huh?

WHY THIS TOPIC?

I receive emails all the time from people who want to make some form of transition in their life. And I see a lot of my coaching clients experience a lot of challenges with this journey. Transitions require patience, positivity and a feeling of flow. We must find ways to heal our need to force and rush things, to feel negative about where we are and to buy in to stories that tell us we are not making progress.

As I mention in the video, I am currently managing my own big transition in the area of my career. At the moment, I am still currently working in a full-time day job as I work to build my coaching business in the evenings and on weekends. It is a tough gig, and at the moment I am pretty much juggling 2 full time jobs!

To support myself in managing my career transition, I have been applying a range of tools and strategies to not only help me feel good, but to also speed up the process.

In this video  I shared 3 of my favourite things that I do to make the transition journey easier.

Just to recap, there they are;

 1. Love where you are. Make peace with where you are. Express gratitude and appreciation for what you have. Focus on all the positive aspects of your current situation. Say yes to where you.
2. Create a powerful vision. Focus on where you are going. Stop giving all your attention to 'where you are'. Give your attention and energy to your new dream and start to embody it now.
3. Use a journal or notebook to document all the actions and steps (no matter how small) you are taking on a daily basis towards your dreams. Also document every manifestation and everything you attract from the universe which shows you that it is listening to your requests and his helping your dream come true.

So, what did you think of the video? It would be wonderful to get your feedback. And if there are any topics that you would love for me to create a video blog about in the future, please let me know!

I would love for you to leave a comment below and let me know...

LET GO OF YOUR BACK-UP PLAN: HOW TO GET UNSHAKEABLY COMMITTED TO YOUR DREAMS

Have you ever had a dream that you really wanted to achieve, but because you did not think it was possible, you gave up on it? Or has there ever been something you really wanted to do, but because you did not believe you had what it took, you quit?

On the contrary, have you ever had a big dream that you really wanted, and even though you had no idea how you were going to do it, or even if you could do it, you committed to achieving in anyway? And as a result of making that commitment to what you wanted, somehow, almost magically, everything unfolded perfectly and you achieved your goal?

COMMIT TO YOUR DREAM

The difference between these 2 examples, is one thing; commitment

Being committed requires making a decision. A whole hearted decision. You need to be so commited that there is no back-up plan, no escape route, and simply nothing else to consider.

When you are truly committed, giving up is not an option.

"Until one is committed, there is hesitancy, the chance to draw back, always ineffectiveness. Concerning all acts of initiative (and creation), there is one elementary truth the ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans: that the moment one definitely commits oneself, the providence moves too. A whole stream of events issues from the decision, raising in one’s favour all manner of unforeseen incidents, meetings and material assistance, which no man could have dreamt would come his way.” --William Hutchinson Murray

I love this quote. It is a powerful reminder of the importance of making an unwavering commitment to the achievement of what we really want. What is said here is undeniably true. Magic happens when you commit.

MAKE A WHOLE-HEARTED DECISION

The simple act of making a whole-hearted, non negotiable decision, sends a crystal clear message to the Universe about what you are intending to create. The laser-like energy that your decision sets forth, immediately begins to alter the Universe and what it is that you are attracting to you.

Many people do not commit to doing something that scares them or that is out of their comfort zone, until they have some sense of certainty about how it is all going to play out. So, rather than just making a decision and going for it, they instead sit their ‘waiting for all the ducks to line up’ before they do anything. Or, they only half-commit to that they can allow themselves the option to back out of it if it gets too hard.

Fear often arises when we attempt to make a concrete commitment to doing something when we have no idea what is actually going to happen, or what is going to be required of us.

Uncertainty scares our ego, because it removes it’s sense of control and safety. But that is also why it is so beautiful, because in order to embrace uncertainty, you have to forgo listening to your ego, and find a trust in something much deeper. The ego likes to delay us from making this commitment, as it ensures that we are kept safe and do not take any risks to lose love, approval, security, or anything else that we crave.

It is our job to remain totally committed on what we want, and clearly focused on where we are going, despite the fears or uncertainties we encounter.

DO WHATEVER IT TAKES

You have to be willing to do whatever it takes to achieve your goal. The only way to do this is to remain connected to why it is you want your goal. When you have a powerful, inspiring and over-arching reason why you are doing something, it will propel you forward and give you the energy to overcome any challenges you face.

When you focus on your outcome, connect with the feelings that it brings up in you. What is it that you are wanting to experience as a result of achieving this goal? What are you hoping it will give you? How will it impact your life? Create a beautiful image in your mind's eye of the outcome you are wanting. This vision will guide you through your journey, and support you to remain committed to making this dream a reality.

HAVE  LITTLE FAITH

"Take the first step in faith. You don't have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step." -- Martin Luther King Jr.

Once you are committed, you must trust and have faith that the Universe will support you. There will be countless times through your journey that your mind will want to jump in and take control. It will become fearful of the uncertainty and will attempt to get you to follow it's plan.  You must keep your mind squarely focused on the outcome you are wanting to achieve, and forget about what is in between.

At each step along the journey, you will be guided to what you need to do next. You do not need to see the whole staircase. You do not need to know how it will all unfold. Simply remain committed, and certain that it will all be taken care of.  The Universe is here to support you. As long as you are willing to play at 100% the Universe will ensure that everything you need is delivered to you.

NEW YEAR, NEW YOU!: 5 JUICY STEPS TO ACHIEVING YOUR 2012 GOALS

1. REFLECT
If you have not yet had a chance to reflect on 2011, then I suggest to make yourself a cuppa, get comfy, and do it. Everybody has a different method that they use to reflect. Personally, I like to journal. Yet, some people would rather just review things in their mind. It is totally up to you how you do it, but it is definitely a must before you sit down to work on your new years goals.

Think back over 2011 and ask yourself these questions

+ What did I achieve?
+ What were the highlights?
+ What am I most proud of?
+ What is my biggest learning?
+ How did I grow and/or change?
+ What would I have done differently?
+ What did I not achieve in 2011, that I want to achieve in 2012?

This exercise not only makes you remember all the fantastic things you have experienced and created throughout the past year, but it also helps you get clarity on where you are now, and how you want to move forward from here.

2. SET S.M.A.R.T GOALS
I was having a conversation with my boyfriend the other day about our goals for 2012, and I realised something. I realised that not many people know how to really write a goal. You ability to achieve your goals will be compromised if you are not clear on how to set them.

I highly recommend you use the SMART Model when setting goals

Specific
Measurable
Action-oriented
Realistic
Time based

You also want to write the goal as if it has already happened

EXAMPLE:
A poorly written goal is: I want to lose weight

A SMART Goal is: It is now December 31st 2012 and I weigh 65 kg's. I perform half an hour of cardio training and half an hour of strength training 5 days per week, and I feel fantastic.

3. CREATE NEW RITUALS
I picked up this tip from watching a short clip on goal setting by Tony Robbins. You can check it out here.

Look at where you are now, and ask yourself 'What rituals (or habits) have got me to this place?" Then think about where you want to be, and ask yourself "What rituals or habits will get me there?"

You see, if you want different results, you are going to have to start doing things differently. Makes sense right?

Ponder these questions

What new habits do you need to create?
+ What habits do you need to let go of?
+ What do you need to do differently?
+ What rituals will take you where you want to go?
+ What rituals will take you away from where you want to go?

4. MAKE A VISION BOARD
A vision board can be created on a pinboard using photos, pictures or images from magazines. Or it can be done on your computer using a slide show of photos or images or using a program such as Picassa.

Rather than explaining the how to create one of these magical little tools, I thought you might like to see how these amazing ladies are doing it;

+ Jess Ainscough from Wellness Warrior gives an awesome step by step guide here
+ Denisse Duffield Thomas from Lucky Bitch explains it so well here
+ Rachel Magahy from In Spaces Between has a beautiful example here

Then, once you have your vision board, place it in an area where you will see it daily. Repetition is key. Whenever you look at it imagine yourself living a life where all these dreams have already come true. Connect with the feeling of having it on a daily basis.

5. LET GO
Here is the clincher.

After working hard to create your goals, make your vision board and take lots of new actions, no doubt you will be wanting some return for all your efforts. But here is one thing you must find a way to do, and that is let go.

You have to loosen your grip on that outcome you want so desperately. You have to take a deep breath and relax about where you are. The more you watch and wait and become impatient about whether or not your results are coming, the more you are going to get in the way of their manifestation.

Instead cultivate a calm expectation. A knowing. A strong sense of belief that these dreams you desire are on their way to you. Know they are done.

When you set your goals with a sense of certainty, you can afford to wait for their manifestation, because it is not about IF they are coming. It is simply about WHEN.

So just chill out. Be light hearted and playful about it all. Love where you are now and enjoy all the fabulous things that are already great about you and your life. When you give off an energy of happiness and a feeling of already being complete, the Universe cannot help but bring you even more to make you feel happy about.

Now over to you...

In 2012, one of my goals is to connect with YOU, my reader, even more. So, I would love to hear from you.

+ What goals have you set for 2012?
+ What steps will you be taking to achieve them?

BREAK YOUR NEGATIVE FUNK: 8 STEPS TO POSITIVE CHANGE

Do you ever have moments where you feel a bit blah? Maybe these moments last for a whole day, or maybe they just come and go. Either way, when they happen, they are not much fun.

I call this a
negative funk. When I get in one, I feel stagnant and I lack inspiration. My usual upbeat, positive vibe seems out of reach. Instead, I feel zero motivation, and my mind just seems to go round and round on a negative loop.

What do you do when you fall in to a negative funk? Do you allow yourself to wallow in negativity until something outside of you changes to make you feel better? Or do you look inside to figure out what is going on and commit to doing something positive and proactive to turn it around?

When it comes to what I write on this blog, I practice what I preach. Everything I write here I use in my own life. I can honestly say that I used to be one of those people that would frequently experience these funks. And when I did, I would do very little to change it. I did not know then, what I know now - that I actually have the power and ability to change my state, and eliminate my negativity if I choose.

The Cause of Negative Funks
Over the years, I have found these negative funks are more likely to arise when I am getting
comfortable. When I am feeling a little lazy, I allow life to just run on auto pilot for a while. I just go through the motions, follow my habits and react to situations as they arise.

In these instances, my unconscious mind takes over and begins to run the show. The danger with this, is that many things lie in your unconscious mind that you are not even aware of. They may be old outdated limited beliefs, fears, unsupportive habits and old behaviours from the past that no longer serve you. When you live like this, it is impossible for you to create amazing new experiences and opportunities. Instead, you become stuck in a total rut and life feels like it is playing like a broken record.

Living Consciously
So, here is the good news. In order to turn around your negative funk, all you have to do is the complete opposite. You have to
become conscious. What does this mean? It means, making a choice! Living consciously means you choose how you want to live and you commit to making it that way.

Living Consciously =

  • Consciously and deliberately choosing your thoughts
  • Choosing to take actions that you know will serve you
  • Choosing to create new habits that will take you where you want to go
  • Being aware of what is going on in your mind
  • Creating your life proactively, rather than just reacting to what is happening

How to Break Your Negative Funk!

You have the ability to break your funk, and it is as simple as choosing to become more conscious of what is going on in your head. There are also lots of practices that you can use in your life to break your funk. Here are some that I use, that will hopefully be of help to you too!

1. Make The Best Of It
I love the phrase in the photo above - Grow where you are. To me, it can be interpreted to mean, make the best of where you are. Right now, you may find yourself 'planted' in a crap job, a disempowering relationship, or with a small bank account. Rather than getting yourself all upset about how crap it is, why not focus on how you can grow. How an you make the best of where you are? How can you start to turn this around?

In order to move your life forward, you do not need to figure out how to change or fix all of the problems in your life. Instead, simply start by making the best of what you have got. Find ways to start to feel better about where you are. As your energy shifts inside you, the world you you experience it outside of you, will also begin to shift.

2. Ask the Right Questions
When I was contemplating signing up for my Life Coach training, what stopped me was the money. For many months, I worried about how I would manage to pay for it. All my focus was on the reasons why I could not afford it. Then one day, I came across an article about the power of your questions, and I realised I needed to make a change.

Instead of thinking about all the reasons why I could not afford the course, I began asking myself "How can I afford this course? and "How can I find the money for this training?" When I began to ask empowering questions, I began to receive empowering answers. Suddenly, all my concerns around paying for the course shifted. I started to get a lot of new ideas about how I could pay for the course, and I felt a calm sense of knowing that everything would work out perfectly.

3. Be Willing To Change
It is one thing to want to change in theory, but unless you are willing to do the work, nothing will happen. You must be able to open your mind to new possibilities, be flexible in your approach and allow changes to unfold in your life.

When I want to make a shift in how I am living, I repeat the mantra "I am willing to change" everyday. I take it in to the shower with me, I repeat it as I stretch in my yoga poses, and I say it in my mind as I walk to work. You have to be willing to change the way that you are thinking about something in order for anything to shift.

4. Choose New Goals
I tend to get in to a bit of a slump when I have no real direction. I find that I just react to life, rather than deliberately creating intentionally. It is important to ensure you are always growing and challenging yourself. So, you must continue to set goals that stretch you and take you to new places.

When you are working towards a new goals, you mind is focused on something positive and constructive. You must keep yourself focused and determined. This mental state helps prevent negative funks, as you are optimistically looking towards your future achievements. if you do not currently have a list of compelling and exciting goals that you are working on, it might be a good idea to sit down and write some.

5. Journal Positivity
When I want to bring more positivity in to my life, I like to carry a journal with me at all times. Whenever something positive happens in my life, or I feel good about something, or I notice something awesome, or I find something to appreciate, I write it down.

This is an extremely powerfully tool. Not only does it shift your energy to a more positive place during the day, but you will find that you start to notice the positive things in your life more easily. I also recommend reading over it at the end of the day, to boost your positive energy vibe!

6. Create a Morning Routine
The way that you start your day, has a significant effect on how the rest of it unfolds. it is important to take time each morning, to tune yourself in to a positive state.

The way I spend my morning tends to change and vary, but it always involves me getting up before the sun rises. I know this is a challenge for some people, but it is one of the most beneficial habits you can create. At the moment, I use this morning time to exercise at the gym. I never thought I could exercise in the mornings, but I am now converted  and I absolutely love it.

At other times of my life, I have used this morning time to meditate, journal, set intentions for the day, review my goals and do a bit of visualisation. These practices set you up in a positive vibe for the day, and get you living consciously, deliberately and with purpose.

7. Think in Baby Steps
If you're sitting in a place of depression, anger or fear, it can be pretty hard to jump straight in to a place of joy, happiness and optimism. So, I suggest taking baby steps with your thinking.

Start by trying to think about the situation in a way which feels
a little bit better that what you're thinking now. Then, add another positive thought, and then another. Add in thoughts of compassion, forgiveness, faith, love, abundance, peace, kindness and generosity. Allow yourself to get on a bit of a roll with your positive thoughts and gradually your energy will shift.

8. Ask for Guidance
Now, I am not religious, but in challenging times, I pray. I do not pray to God necessarily, nor do I beg for help. I simply talk to that higher part of me that often has all the answers. I sit quietly and I ask for guidance. I ask for support and assistance. Although this is quite a spiritual practice for me, it does not necessarily have to be. It is as simple as acknowledging that there is a greater power at play in our universe that has the ability to step in and guide us when we need it most.

SIX STEPS TO ELIMINATE SELF SABOTAGE

Why is it that we set goals? You may think it is simply so that you can change some area your life or get something new. But what if there were more to it than that? What if the real meaning behind setting goals was actually to grow and expand your self, and to overcome the inner blocks that sit between where you are and where you want to be.

I recently decided that unless I am setting goals that make me 'uncomfortable' then they are not big enough. So, I have now set some new ones. These ones scare me and challenge me and are causing me to have to do things that I would not normally do in order to achieve them. But that is why they are awesome! Through the achievement of these goals, not only will I create some amazing results in my life, but I will also have to go through a huge amount of inner growth.

How Big Goals Create Self-Sabotage
The only problem with setting big goals, is you then have to deal with all of the "stuff" that comes up. This "stuff" is what has been holding you back. When you set a new, big goal you then activate and bring to the surface your negative "stuff" so it can be healed. When you start thinking about your big goal, you may encounter fear, anxiety, doubt or feelings of unworthiness. You may feel that your goals are un-achievable or worry that you may fail. This is a good sign! It means you have picked a great goal that will create amazing opportunities for learning and growth.

Rather than freaking out and running away from these negative thoughts, embrace them and learn from them. If you decide to let these blocks stop you, you fall prey to self sabotage, but if you decide to move past them, your results you be phenomenal.

What Exactly Is Self Sabotage?
Self sabotage involves thoughts, feelings and behaviours that go against what you want and take you in the opposite direction to where you actually want to be heading.

Unfortunately, we all sabotage our dreams constantly. We set forth these wonderful desires, but then we turn around and allow our mind to become our enemy. Creating what you want in life is a mind game. Unless your mind is on your side, action is a waste of time! Until you believe and support yourself with your thoughts, your actions will never be successful.

Thinking in opposition to what you want is called resistance. You are resisting the natural flow of the Universe which wants to  give you everything you desire. You have to stop mentally resisting what you want. You have to line your thoughts up with your desire.

What Are Some Forms Of Self Sabotage?
  • Doubt: By doubting whether or not what you want will happen, you are diluting your power. Doubt is an energy that is opposite to belief and without belief you your goal means nothing. You get what you expect and unless you expect success there is a high chance you will not get it.
  • Negative and Disempowering Self Talk: Eg: I can't do it... It is too hard... I will never succeed etc.. These types of phrases make you feel crap and tear you down. You will not feel at all inspired to take action toward your goal with this type of stuff in your head.
  • Lack of Self-Belief: Not only do you need to believe in your goal, but you must believe in your self. Not believing in your own abilities, talents and passions will hold you back from your dreams. You have to know that you are capable of doing anything you want and you have to be willing to back your self 100%.
  • Poor Focus: In life, you get what you focus on. If you're not focusing on where you want to go, you are never going to get there. You also must do your best to focus in a positive way. If all you do is focus on the negatives, what is not working and what you do not have you will have no chance of moving forward. It is extremely important to have a laser-like focus towards your goal and to not let anything else stray you from where you are going.
  • Living Unconsciously: You need to make your decisions consciously and clearly. If you simply react unconsciously or just act out old habits you are likely to self sabotage without even realising you are doing it. And if you continue to live life on autopilot just going with the flow, it is likely that you will just continue to create the same thing over and over again.
  • Comparison to Others: You are unique and your dreams and goals are your own. Hold them close to your heart and cherish them. Do not worry about other people are doing or where they are in their life. This is a waste of energy and it pulls your mind off course from your own dreams
  • Procrastination: It is very easy to do what is easy. But it is hard to do what is hard. If you are not willing to challenge yourself and get uncomfortable, then you will continue to procrastinate and put off the hard things. Unless you are willing to step up and do the challenging tasks, you will never make the progress that you really want too.
6 Steps To Eliminate Self Sabotage

1. Pin Point the Problem

You have to start by identifying what your self-sabotaging behaviours are. In what ways do you think negatively about your dreams? Listen to your self talk - what do you say to yourself? Try writing down a big goal of something you really want to achieve and then underneath list all the negative feelings or thoughts that arise in you. Do you feel fear? Are there certain phrases or beliefs that pop in to your head about whether or not you can do it? Get really clear on how it is that you are stopping yourself

2. Commit to Change
If you want to achieve your goals, you are going to have to do the work to get there. A lot of this may be inner work. You may have to change they way you are thinking and doing things. You may have to create new habits and behaviours. You may have to dedicate time to working through your self sabotaging patterns so you can heal them. You may need to change negative thoughts in to positives and to start to think in ways that you are not used to. Simply start by being willing. Be willing to change who you are and how you have been living. Be willing to be scared and to not know what you are doing. Just be curious about yourself and be open to learning more about who you really are.n class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">

3. Fix your Focus

You have to put your focus in the right place. Focus on your strengths and all the reasons why you can do what you want. Focus on what is already great in your life. You must keep a positive mind to support your new dreams. Think back through your past for memories of times that you have succeeded and have achieved what you want. Keep your mind on the end goal and do not become too distracted by your sabotaging patterns. Simply recognise them, work to heal them and then re-focus on your your desired outcome.

4. Embrace Opportunities

The biggest way we sabotage ourselves is by missing opportunities to move towards our goal because we are scared. Do not back away from opportunities. As soon as you set your goal, you will start having openings to take action. You must make sure you do not then turn around and run! We may feel unworthy or incapable of what we are being given and we may be too scared to do what it takes to achieve the goal. You must catch yourself when this happens and be willing to act even when it is totally out of your comfort zone.

5. Watch your words

Your words create your world. Be aware of your self talk and what goes on in your head. When you are faced with a challenge is your self talk positive and empowering or negative and debilitating? Your words put you in a self-hypnotic trance and tell you what you can or cannot do. Catch yourself when you recognise that you are thinking something disempowering and turn yourself around. Love yourself enough to say beautiful and supportive statements to your self. Be your own cheerleader. Coach yourself through the tough times. Tell yourself you can do it enough times, and pretty soon you will star to believe it.

6. Commit to your goal

If you are not 100% committed you will easily be swayed and deterred by your self sabotaging patterns. However when you are completely committed you will not let anything stop you. Decide on a course of action and then consciously choose the thoughts you need to think to support you to get there. Commit to the outcome and be willing to do whatever it takes. You must be willing to grow and change and feel uncomfortable to get there. Decide on your outcome and then stick to it and allow nothing to stand in your way.
