TODAY I SAY GOODBYE TO A PART OF MYSELF

Four weeks ago I resigned from my job. This post explains why. Since making that initial decision, the past few weeks have flown by. And suddenly I find myself here. Today is my last day.

Today, I not only say goodbye to my job, but I say goodbye to having a job. Period.

I am saying goodbye to fixed work hours, a monthly pay check and the daily commute.

I am saying goodbye to the external stability, security and consistency that I clung too for so long.

I am saying goodbye to doing something that is not authentically me, simply because I didn't know what else I could do.

I am saying goodbye to needing the approval of others. And to being conventional and mainstream.

But most of all I am saying goodbye to a part of myself.

The part of me that was playing small.

The part of me playing the safe game.

The part that was afraid to be her authentic self.

The part that was afraid to have her light seen by the world.

I am saying goodbye to all that.

And now, instead, I am saying hello. I am saying yes. I am opening my arms wide and welcoming in the new.

I am saying hello to happiness.

I am saying hello to being my own boss and doing what I love every. single. day.

I am saying hello to new and creative ways of making money.

I am saying yes to innovative ideas and unique ways of living.

I am saying yes to complete self-expression. To freedom, flexibility and self-empowerment.

I am saying hello to entrepreneurship (oh hello, friend!) and being my own boss.

I am opening my heart and my eyes.

I am following my bliss no matter where it may take me.

I am saying yes to the universe. Show me what you got!

I am saying yes to my dreams. Yes to living fully and wholly. Yes, to a life that I am madly, deeply and passionately in love with.

I am saying yes to uncertainty.

And hell yes to the unknown.

And while I have no idea where this is going to take me, I know it is going to be awesome.

  7. A big, honouring, congratulations Connie! I did the very same same thing a few months back and had the -exact- same thoughts and words in my journal. Must be something in the stars this year :) To a really special day marking much courage.

  14. Congratulations Connie.. so brave of you to be stepping away from the need for financial security . As a Taurus that craving is no doubt very strong.. us bulls struggle to overcome the need for a secure/steady/guaranteed income. Although try we must!
I too hope to do the same one day soon - and you are a light and guiding force. Thanks hugely :)
