THE MAGIC OF IMAGINATION

"They key to bringing yourself to a new place is to see yourself differently from the way you are. It is necessary for you to focus on the person you are becoming and distract yourself from the current situation. For, as long as you see yourself as you are, you are contradicting the vibration of who you want to be. You cannot create a new reality, while looking at your current reality" - The Teachings of Abraham

This is one of my favourite quotes. I have written it out and stuck above my mirror in my room so I can remind myself of this important message daily.

The reason I love this quote so much, is because it reminds me of a the fundamental truth in life that so many of us often forget - that we create our own reality through our thoughts!

Your thoughts create your world
You get what you focus on, you attract what you think about and you become what you imagine you are. The mind is an amazing tool that is completely underestimated and underused in our life. I so often get sucked in to the mass thought stream that I am powerless in this world, and I allow my mind to get carried away with reactions to what is going on around me. When instead, all I need to remember is that I can change anything in an instant, simply by changing the way I am thinking.

"All that we are is the result of what we have thought" Buddha

In order to create something new in your life, you have to think new thoughts. You past thoughts have got you to where you are now, and if you keep thinking them you will just get more of the same.

Give your attention to what you see around you, and you will keep creating more if it. Or birth a new vision, a new idea, a new way of doing something and create a clear inner picture of it. Then think about it often, imagine it, daydream about it and you will draw more energy toward this picture. Things around you in the outer world will begin to be drawn towards you to make it more real. You will begin to see evidence of your dream around you.

Make your inner vision, your inner pictures, your inner world more real that the outer world. The outer world is just the residual effects of your past thoughts and energy, and once your change what you're thinking, the outer world will change too

You have a choice - Observe reality OR Create reality

What you think becomes real
All things are moving energy. Everything in this world is made up of vibrating masses of energy. Matter is merely a denser form of energy while your thoughts are a lighter finer form of energy. To bring things from thought energy to material energy, you need to draw more and more energy to them. How do you do that? By talking about it, thinking about it, believing in it, seeing it on the screen of your mind frequently.

There is no difference between what you see inside you and outside you. One is only more real if you say it is. Whatever you tell your subconscious mind it believes as truth. It does not know the difference between a reality you see with your eyes and one you see in your imagination. They both create images on the screen of your mind which your subconscious mind takes on as truth.

The power of imagination
One of the most powerful tools you can use to change is your life is your imagination. The quote above demonstrates the importance of using your imagination to dream and focus on the life that you want rather than what you see going on around you. If you keep focusing on and thinking about what you have right in front of you then you're just going to get more of the same.

It requires a creative mind to dream a new dream and imagine a new reality for yourself. It then takes discipline and conscious direction of thought to ensure you are giving the majority of your attention to this new dream. As you do this, the law of attraction brings together energy, people, places, experiences to support the vision you are giving off, and as more energy comes together, it eventually takes form around you.

1. Create a clear vision
The first step in using the power of your imagination is to cultivate a clear inner vision. How do ever expect to get anywhere if you do not know where you are going? Moreover, how can you expect the universe to begin to bring together everything you need to make your dream a reality, if you give it no directions?

Your mind is logical, structured and methodical and it works best when given specific instructions. Sometimes the rigid and rational nature of our minds can work against us in that it inhibits our ability to think outside the box and believe in things that we cannot yet see. So, we must first harness the magic of our intuition, imagination and creativity to dream a beautiful vision and then powerfully direct our mind to where we want it to go.

Create a powerful vision for your future by using all of your senses. Dream of an ideal situation, or something you want to have, or the person you want to be. Imagine it, see it on the screen of your mind. Begin to feel what it would be like to have it and experience the positive emotions you would feel if it was actually really happening. Hear the sounds that would be happening, or the smells that would be around you. Get your body involved and experience your vision fully rather than only seeing it in your mind. Make it big, bright, colourful and fill it up with positive emotion.

While you do this, only focus on the end result. Focus on how it will look when it has already happened. Do not worry how you're going to get there. Just use your imagination to dream the perfect way you want your dream to look when it happens and convince your mind it is happening now.

2. Focus
Ok, so once you have your vision, you need to keep focusing on it. There is no point visualising your amazing dream once, and then never thinking about it again. It requires time for your dream to materialise and come together do you have to continue to focus on it and give it a lot of your mental energy.

"Take up one idea. Make that one idea your life - think of it, dream it, live on that idea. Let the brain, muscles, nerves, every part of your body, be full of that idea, and just leave every other idea alone. This is the way to success. That is the way great spiritual giants are produced" - Swami Vivekenanda

It can be extremely difficult to try to hold a new dream or vision in the forefront of your mind, especially when what you see around you in you outer world is probably the complete opposite. But you MUST continue to focus on what you want if you ever want it to happen. You cannot let go of your vision, and you cannot let what you see around you overshadow it.

If you see something you like in your outer world, keep it there by giving positive attention energy and focus to it. The same goes with something you do not like, if you keep focusing on it, you will keep it in your existence. However, if you stop giving energy to it, it will eventually fade away and disappear out of your external reality.

Whenever you see something that matches what you want, or a little sign that what you want is on its way, give it lots of focus and thought energy and then ever more manifestations will come your way.

3. Receive

Receiving the manifestation of your desire, involves several components.

"Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for... believe that you have received it, and it will be yours" Mark 11:24

Firstly, you must believe that what you want is possible for you. Any doubt, fear, worrying or negative thoughts will block what you want from coming to you, as they give off an energy that pushes away what you want. You must know that you deserve to have absolutely everything and anything you want in life, and that you can. A powerful belief in your self and the universe is necessary to create big dreams.

Secondly, you must also be willing to act. You dream may not materialise instantly exactly as you imagined. It will all come together step by step so you will need to take little actions along the way to create it. You may get a new insight or idea, you may meet a new person, be attracted to a new book or be offered a new opportunity. All these things could be stepping stones to creating your dream so keep an eye out for them and act on them when they arise.

Thirdly, be relaxed, open, receptive and flexible. Don't stress about your desire and when or how it is going to happen. Instead just relax and trust and know it will all unfold perfectly. Remember that you get what you focus on, and if you are focusing on the fact that it is not here yet or has not happened yet, then you will get more of that.

Finally, never every give up on your dream. Hold your vision in your heart, focus on it with our mind and use your imagination to make it a reality.

"Limitations live only in our minds. But if we use our imaginations, our possibilities become limitless" Jamie Paolinetti

  5. :) The Divine is by nature no-thing (formless). This in mind, along with with the understanding that because the Divine is formless it is omniscient, omnipotent and omnipresent we can begin to intuit that within ourselves exists the Divine, which means that by nature our spirit is akin to the formlessness of the Divine.

Where you wish to will that Divine prowess, is entirely up to you.

    Spiritual Divinity is your birth-right.
