We are now at the end of Week 1 of the 90 Day Transformation Project, and what a week it has been!

In the VLOG below, I share with you something big that happened in my life this week. Something big that I let go of.

This week I let go of my full time job.

I quit my job because of a commitment I recently made to myself. I made the heart-strong decision that I was going to let go of anything from my life that was not authentically me.

My commitment to live authentically, has become more important to me than external security, than having a monthly paycheck, than having the 'status' of my job, or than needing the approval of others.

This decision is about making a commitment to living the life of my dreams, following my heart and allowing myself to be completely guided. And doing whatever it takes.

The quote below sums it up pretty perfectly what I am aiming for right now;

"Living authentically is what you're doing when you find congruence between your inner world; your feelings, values, gifts, needs, spirituality and passions, and your outer world; your job, home, relationships and community. When you live an authentic life, these things support and synergize each other" -- Susan Piver

I am evaluating everything that I currently have in my life, everything that I currently think, everything that I currently do, and I am determining if it is congruent.

Are my inner world and outer worlds aligned?

Am I living in alignment with who I believe I really am?

While I have made the decision to let go of one aspect of inauthenticity - my job. There are still plenty of other things that need to be released to support me in moving forward towards my dreams.

For me, this includes fear-based thinking, doubts about my ability to support myself financially, insecurities about whether or not I have what it takes, anxiety about living in the 'unknown' and continued resistance to really stepping out in to the world to shine my light.  This need to be healed, acknowledged and released.

There is still a lot of work to do. The work never really ends. But now that I have made this commitment to leave my job I must ensure I am supporting myself mentally and emotionally by eliminating any thoughts that are not in alignment with my higher goal.

In the week 2 worksheet that I will be sending all of the 90 day transformation peeps, I encourage you to look at all aspects of your life and your self to determine what you need to release and let go of.

It is about having a very real and deep look at your self and your life and getting totally honest. On the worksheet I ask you some hard hitting questions such as;

+ What in my life am I holding on to that is not serving me?
+ For what reason do I feel the need to be in relationship with something that is not supporting me? + What am I afraid will happen if I let go of this?
+ What is possible for me if I let go of this?

We must pull all of the limiting patterns and beliefs out from the unconscious mind and bring them in to our conscious awareness so we can do the work to release them.

Letting go can be scary. But if you want to bring something new in to your life, or if you want to become a new type of person you have to create space for it. And the only way to do that is to let go of the old, so you can make room for the new.

The practice of letting go involves the following 4 steps.

1) Acknowledge: Determine what it is that you need to let go of. What is getting in your way of you having what you want or becoming the person you want to be?

2) Release: You must make the decision and the commitment to let it go. To do this, it helps to have an overarching reason why. Why is it important you let this go? What is it costing you to hold on to it? What amazing and beautiful things will you be able to gain by letting it go?

3) Affirm: Every time you find yourself feeling resistant to letting go, or getting stuck up in your old patterns affirm out loud "I am ready and willing to let this go" I tend to just say over and over "I let it go, I let it go, I let it go, I let it go" If it is a person or a thing you are wanting to let go of, continue to affirm "I release you" over and over.

4) Replace:  Replace your old thought, your old habit, your old way of being or your old thing with something new. After you affirm your intention to let it go, follow it by affirming what you want to replace it with.

Eg: If you are working on releasing your fear of not having enough money, you may say "I am ready and willing to let go of my fear of not having enough money, AND I am now choosing to feel abundant and to call in more experiences to create money in my life" or, "I am ready and willing to let go of my current job AND I am now calling in a new career that totally fulfils me" or "I am ready and willing to release my need to over eat AND I am now choosing to eat in a way that lovingly nourishes and supports my body"

A final note: I want to say a huge, heart-filled thank you to the 90 day project community for your support this week. On the day I resigned I left a comment on the group wall telling everyone what I was going to do. When I came home that day, I was quite seriously moved to tears by the huge amount of supportive comments and words of encouragement that were left by all of you. Any shadows of doubt I had about my decision were washed away in an instant and I am so so very grateful for your support. Thank you xx

  1. Congratulations hun! So incredible, what a perfect example of staying true to yourself. Wishing you all the love, happiness and success with the adventures that lay ahead xx

  2. The fact that you turned down a part-time position because it wouldn't allow you to be your authentic self is unbelievably inspiring to me. I quit my job as a teacher a couple of months ago because it simply wasn't lighting me up, but a couple of weeks ago, I signed up with an employment agency to do some supply teaching work on a part-time basis. I hate that I've made this decision and I'm dreading doing the work for the first time, but it seems like the most practical decision I can make right now - I have no other source of income yet, and I'd be paid very well as a supply teacher for only working part-time. But is the money really worth having to spend several days each month pretending to be someone other than who I really am...?

  3. You are LOVED, sweet pea! This week 2 project is coming at a perfect time (as always!)for me. I have had a hard time today regarding old thoughts and feelings of self-worth (not so positive) and other sensitivities of the emotions. I was just saying today that they NEED to be brought up to face and deal with so that I can have room for the magnificence that is to take its place. You can't put new, gorgeous furniture in a dirty room without cleaning it out first (dust, clean the walls, etc.). It just wouldn't work! I am ready! Let's do some serious internal housecleaning, babes! We can ALL do it!

You just glowed in this video, Connie! I understand the mixed emotions, but the REAL you shone through. I've never had this kind of support before - EVER! - that is being offered in this project from you and other lovelies on the Facebook forum. So honored and grateful! So, from my HEART to YOURS - I love you! :)

  4. This post is exactly what I needed to read - thank you SO much Connie.

  5. Congratulations, very awesome news for you!!!!!! Looking forward to my lunch hour tomorrow to watch your video :)

  6. You are an inspiration to me...I have tears flowing down my cheeks right now because you just drove home some real truths that I needed to hear, so thank you xoxo

  7. Connie this is the first time I have visited your site.... just wanted to say thanks for your video and for sharing. It's helped someone :-) Wishing you all the best

  8. Wow! I just came across this via a link at In Spaces Between and I'm so glad I've come across this. Firstly bravo on that brave move. I'm going through the same thoughts/feelings and would love to join the 90 Day challenge. Is it still available to join up or is it too late? Regardless, I look forward to keeping up via the site.

    Cheers, Sarah

  9. I am so happy to have found your blog and I look forward to participating int he challenge. I often post life changing features as well as living the best life you can on my blog and I look forward to sharing some of yours. Thank you for your inspiration.

  10. Wow! I love your posts and I'm loving your vlogs even more! I recently quit my job too. Quite simply, I just became burnt out from not being true to myself. It was a daily struggle to motivate myself to be at work and I just couldn't do it any more. Good luck on your journey, you truly are inspiring and motivating and I look forward to hearing about your successes!

  11. Connie just extending such a warm congratulations to you, and such a surge of support for your choices around your job in the name/quest/journey of living authentically.

I have done exactly the same thing this year, leaving my corporate job (and I think we are the same age) - all your words are exactly the same as ones I have written in my journals over the past few months. I don't have the answers of 'what I want to do', what 'THE' calling is, what that looks like... I have ideas but nothing concrete. For a classic over-achiever, this whole process has been so daunting and terrifying but yet this overriding truth of absolutely needing to live authentically, and to begin by releasing with love and gratitude everything which is not authentic, has had the driver's seat and despite having such little clarity, it still definitely feels like the right path.

Thank you so much for your courage and freedom of self to be able to share your journey so openly, and with such a light of inspiring and leading others. Personally I've found immense confirmation and reminder to trust, in this particular post.
Much look forward to hearing what delights unfold for you next.
    So many thanks

  12. I am ready and willing to let go of limiting self beliefs, self doubt, self loathing (feeling ashamed of myself), control, needing to be right, desire to control what others think about me / caring too much about what others think of me, pressure to have a perfect house, thinking my past weight has to also be my future, being too busy for what and who I love most, mental resistance to stepping out and shining my light. I want to return to feeling free, happy and blessed and call in more opportunities to experience these feelings.
